While the initial boom in South Lyon started in the late 1990s, it was reignited around 2012 and has stayed strong since. However, with so many single-family homes being built, a hole in the market emerged - condos; specifically, detached condos. In many cases, the parents of those buying/building the single-family homes wanted to move into the area to be close to kids/grandkids, but short of building their own house, not many options were available.
