Details are pretty limited, but our understanding is that there will be roughly 40 single-family homes in the area of Bywood and Elmwood, on the site of the former Schalm Elementary School. The homes will offer 3-4 bed/2.5 bath, and between 2,100-3,000+ sqft, spread across the 8 acre parcel. Pre-sales are expected to begin in the fall of 2025; the pricing is still TBD.
With virtually no new construction neighborhoods for single-family homes in Royal Oak, Berkley, or the surrounding areas, we anticipate that this neighborhood will be a popular one. Located less than a mile from Downtown Clawson, this neighborhood will offer the feel of living near Downtown Royal Oak, but with less congestion, and (hopefully) more reasonable pricing.
Clawson has a lot to offer, with an newly renovated academic campus (the elementary, middle, and high schools are all on the same block), commute-friendly access to I-75, and a vastly underrated dining & shopping experience. Most notably, Jeff's favorite baseball card store... 'sup Lewton's!
